My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for an anniversary dinner. This is a hidden gem of Hartford with high-quality, authentic Italian and Baltic food. We knew this was the place to be when we heard some of the other customers speaking Serbian. We started with the spedini and I had a cup of the soup of the day, chicken and vegetable (not pictured). The specials of the day were either rack of lamb with veggies and potatoes or skirt steak, so I chose the lamb. They do not serve alcohol here so I had a peach mango mocktail, but they do serve a variety of sodas. My partner got the hadziski cevapi off the Balkan specials list per recommendation of our waitress and it was a phenomenal choice. The staff was very friendly and the portions of food were generous for the price. We are definitely coming back to try more, I’ve got my eye on the veal Adriatic the next time we go.

Super delicious dish! Their mix platter would be enough for two grown ups. It comes with fresh bread. Try their cappuccino! It was the best I have ever had. They have a cozy restaurant, it is not modern or renovated but clean and neatly designed. Their mezze plate was also delicious. The good thing about this restaurant is their pricing. Big portion at an affordable price. Thanks for your great service!

Very nice atmosphere Well kept tables and dining room. Service was outstanding! Very personable and professional. Food came out hot and fast with no mistakes, large portions with some very tasty items that made just as good leftovers. (Which were packaged in aluminum containers)
We were able to bring our own wine to enjoy and they even chilled it for us.

We had our 25th high school reunion here and it was perfect. Food was delicious and affordable! They catered to our every need and were so flexible up until the last minute. Amela and her staff are so great to work with and I highly recommend this restaurant for your next large event or your next dinner with family.

Cozy, inviting interior decor, top quality food, excellent service. We were in town for an Opera concert and this was the perfect spot for a more upscale dining experience without feeling the need to wear a black tie. Reasonably priced, exceptionally friendly staff, great food. We will be back!

Wow! I got the Balkan Combo and it was a LOT of super tasty meat and Balkan bread. Very generous portions and delicious! I'll be back to try some of their authentic Italian pasta. I wanted the cevapi though so I got the platter.

This place is a gem.
The flavors were elegant and the spices were just right to bring out the natural taste in food.
The venue itself is beautiful and designed to complement the dining experience.
Staff are kind and warm. Hospitality feels like second nature to them.
The price for what you get is of insane value. The portions are huge. The 30 dollar dish can easily fill up two people (sharing and an extra side of bread would be $40).
The restrooms are pretty as well lol. This deserves to be recognized and it does stand out.
Parking is complementary and there is road parking.
Leaving the restaurant, I did trip (my mistake obviously) as there is a step down.
If this is something that does happen, it would be better to have the doormat with a good contrasted color or have a sign on the way out.

Really an amazing place, came for a Valentine’s Day celebration and this place didn’t disappoint at all. Amazing Italian food (even the bread was great), incredible portion sizes, and extremely kind and welcoming staff. All the food was reasonably priced and I would not think twice to come back here another time. They even gave my girlfriend a rose for Valentine’s Day, which I thought was an extremely nice gesture. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Fantastic hidden gem!
Since moving to Connecticut, we’ve been looking for a halal Italian place and Altrier didn’t disappoint. They also have authentic Balkan cuisine which was on point. Service staff was cordial and welcoming!
Would definitely visit again.

This is a fantastic fully halal restaurant with great Balkan and Italian menu options. There’s lots of seating inside, clean bathrooms, and excellent service. Our server was super friendly and helpful throughout the evening. We were a large group and ordered several things including the Fettucine Carbonara, Chicken Piccata, and Cevapi. Everything tasted delicious and the quantities were huge. I would definitely come back to this place to try some of the other options.
